our story

we started talking and dreaming about a creative space back in late 2023. we didn't quite know at the time what we wanted, but a combined studio/vintage studio was something that was brought up often.

october 2024 - a year later the tattoo shop (then Del Kartel Tattoo) had to move location due to a water leak. at the same time the space next to them moved out and the the tattoo shop took over and rebranded to @monolitt_tattoo.

their space was bigger than the old one and Bakti (from Monolitt Tattoo) and Will (@sry.will) started discussing potentially working together.

november 2024 - not long after we got the keys next door and the journey finally started.

being eight guys, all with their own opinion on how to excecute this project, finding a common ground took time. after discussing, we finally at least started cleaning and painting.

december 2024 - christmas came and not much happened other than some painting and starting to build hangers.

january 2025 - painting the studio was finished this month, as well as the idea on how we were going to build the studio.

february 2025 - the building process began slowly at the end of the month.

march 2025 - the whole shelfing system was built within few days and this really sparked motivation in the group. we finally started seeing some real progress.

april 2025 - we started feeling at home. furniture and art was moved in and the office was put to use.

content and marketing plan was set in motion.

late april and opening is just around the corner, tho we didn't have a set date yet. due to vacations etc we pushed the opening to the start of may.

may 2025 - with only 4 days until opening we had to call in help from our girlfriends. with all hands on deck, cleaning, buying plants, pricing clothes, last bit of building, as well as renovating the toilet was all done after long days at the studio.

the pre-opening may 3rd followed up by our official opening may 4th were both great success.

a few days has gone by and we're loving our little collective/family. having a place where we can invite our friends and other creative individuals is a joy and an honor and we're so excited for the future.
